I know this is not my normal tone in these blog posts but I'm so medicated rigt now! Allergies are just in full swing with no end in sight. It's like if some one tried to pinch my nose, kick me in the head and make me smoke a pack a day! So I'm just telling my allergies, " I really don't give a shit!" I'm going to be ok and I'll get better, maybe, I hope!
I hope I can do the show today in a medicated state that would make the show a great mismatch for random ramblings!

Oh Snap, Cubs Fans slow your roll!!

Hey It's Alan Wade again, an I'm A Chicago Cubs fan. I know that Cub fans are getting  excited about their good season. But let me remind you of a few things you may not want to hear. Remember we had the biggest division lead was in 1969, when the Cubs flushed away a five-game advantage and wound up eight games back of the Amazin' Mets in October. But there was a black cat involved in that. The Cubs were three games up on Houston and eight clear of St. Louis by the 2001 All-Star Game, only to fall behind both playoff-bound teams in the final 2 1/2 months. Sammy Sosa (64 home runs, 160 RBIs, .328 average) became the first player to reach 60 homers in three seasons, while Jon Lieber won 20 games. Again, it wasn't enough. So look don't get you hopes up yet, although I am winning one of my fantasy leagues, sorry John!

This is the years of "yes we can" so it could happen...but will it.

Oh and John this weekend Astros vs. Cubs we need to just bet on that one!
